Young people will have a place to play ball and a place where their families and friends can come see their local heroes play ball. Chicago vs. Detroit… just $5.00 a ticket. The NGL exists to give these kids a break. They deserve it.
You don’t have to graduate from Harvard to succeed. All it takes is inner strength, discipline and some guidance along the way. Getting these kids off the street corner and onto the playing field is an excellent first step. Their local adults will coach them on their softball skills while at the same time mentoring them on what it takes to become the kind of person they have the capability to become.
Thus the NGL is a means to an end. A way for the community to work together to help the kids have fun and at the same time provide the motivational leadership everyone needs to stay positive and tackle the next hurdle on their way to success.
